wasting your vote

In my opinion, people who vote for candidates representing parties such as the Communist party, Libratarian party, or other parties other than Democrats and Republicans are just wasting their votes. Maybe it would be nice if we had more than two choices for president, but until that happens, it is just a wasted vote when you vote for someone who doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning. And the people who really piss me off the most are those who use write in ballots to write in names such as Mickey Mouse just to be funny. Their are more appropriate ways of showing you have a sense of humor. Anyone who really cares about what happens to this country over the next four years should vote for one of the two candidates from the two major parties and not waste their votes on others who won't be able to do a thing for us.

I'm not american, but if I was I'd rather waste my voat and voat for someone I feel could do the country better even if they stand no chance of getting ellected rather than vote for any of those 2 idiots. Just because I voat for someone that doesn't stand a chance doesn't mean it's wasted. I wouldn't be able to voat for someone just on bases that I know if I don't they'll get ellected anyway, if I strongly disagree with policies and views of the 2 major candidates I couldn't voat for either of them just because I know no1 else would be ellected, besides, if I don't like either, but should voat just because they'll be ellected anyway, which 1 do I choos..do I just toss a coin or something...? So people, voat for who ever you want, it's your freedom of choice, personally I don't see much choice so if I was over there I really wouldn't be sure who to voat for, they're all idiots, all part of the NWO, but I believe in freedom of speach and freedom of choice so voat for who ever you want even if your voat will be the only 1 they'll get, you shouldn't voat for people just because you know every1 else will voat for them!

I see your point, but I would still rather try to vote for one of the two major candidaates -- whichever one I think could do the most good or at least do the least amount of harm.

i think you would have to be mad to vote for bush
Kerry i know nothing about but surely that cretin wont see another term in office

The man has an IQ of 96 at best that's bordering on retardation

nothing could be worse than bush and honestly he's made America a laughing stock
so to has Blair he happily dances to bush's tune and is the most obedient poddle Iv'e ever seen.

we are facing the same dilemma next year lets hope we dont all make the same mistake.

It's interesting that the only two people to respond to my post so far are not American and won't be voting in our election. I was hoping for responses from registered voters in this country.

But surely if you only voted for either of the two candidates (and everyne else did the same) we'd never stand a chance of seeing multi-party elections. The only way you can bring that about is for enough people to vote for "outsiders" change never happens by itself. I think you should vot for whoever does the best job for the country, in your opinion, if you don't you're letting yourself down. I'm extremely unimpressed with both Bush and Kerry but of the two I would like to see Kerry get a chance, I feel Bush has already blown his.

I'm a republican, but I vote both ways. Lol I think it's like a tossup between these two, but I hate Bush, so I'm voting for the other. Yes it would be nice if there were more then two candidates for the presidential election. As for this one in my oppinion though it's like close your eyes and pull the handle.

Relax, just because we all know those candidates aren't gonna win, it does show that you stand out if you vote for them. Your not giving any of those two idiots the satisfaction of knowing that you were persuaded just because they have control of the main parties.
I mean, come on. Why do the other parties exist then if you cant vote for them? Im not saying that i agree with all of them, but honestly, voting against majority is what im all about, whether its a presidential election or otherwise. Others should take this stand as well, and maybe there would be some real improvement in the world, not fear, lies and conformity.

It doesnt even matter who you vote for. They say your vote counts, but in reality it doesnt, because popular vote isn't what wins. So, vote for whoever you want, because it really won't hurt any of their chances of becoming president.

I usually refer to myself as a realist, but in this case, maybe I'm being an idealist, but I see it this way. Sure, some third party candidate has a snowball's chance in Hell of winning, but you are at least getting your word out there that you will not just settle for the lesser of two evils. It's kind of like being given a list of ice cream flavors but only being allowed to have the two most popular ones. OK, not the best analogy for some of you, but it works for me. Yes, for all I know, the system is not right and the vote goes to who has the most corporate backing, but will we really ever know that? It's uncertain for sure. I just moved and thought I'd register, but I'm too late to vote in this election. I won't miss the next one, though.
